We played a relay, which two friends carry a ball between their back trying not to drop it. Counselors also participated to the race.
We asked if anyone knows what we need to do in order to have Nagashi Somen (“Somen” is a kind of Japanese noodle, “nagashi” means to run in the water). A camper raised his hand to say Itadakimasu (the greeting that we say when we start eating), a counselor asked what is before that, and the camper said to bring our chopsticks, what is before? To wash hands, and what is before? To go to the bathroom…Those who are the first time participants did not guess that they need to make the inner side of bamboos nice and smooth to have Nagashi Somen.

Older campers worked on sewing a small towel that can be used to wipe the table.

And then, younger campers learned a dance, worked on a few steps today.

We also had some chicken nuggets, and we tried to make our own Inari Sushi for lunch as well.

We played some Japanese traditional games during free play.
